May 23, 2012 (Orange County): MCLE “Immigration Law: Overview of the System & Potential Reforms”

IABA OC will host an MCLE featuring speaker Peter Afrasiabi, Esq. downloadable flyer

This informative presentation will include an overview of our federal immigration court system, and a discussion about the role that law, judges, and lawyers play both in the system’s failures and in its ability to reform.

This activity has been approved for 1 hour of MCLE credit.  IABA is a Certified State Bar MCLE provider. 

Registration: 5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Presentation: 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. 

Speaker Mr. Afrasiabi founded the 9th Circuit appellate litigation clinic at Chapman University School of Law.  He is an adjunct professor of law there from 2000-2011 and is currently a lecturer of law at the University of California Irvine School of Law.  Mr. Afrasiabi is also a founding partner of One LLP, a prominent entertainment and intellectual property firm in Southern California.
