Membership Types Election to membership requires approval by the Board of Directors in accordance with the membership requirements set forth in the By-Laws of the Association. Membership dues are owed on an annual basis and must be paid in advance. Checks should be made payable to "The Iranian American Bar Association" and mailed to IABA, 1025 Connecticut Avenue, N.W., Suite 1012, Washington, DC 20036.

Attorney Member - Persons who have graduated from a United States law school or who are admitted to practice and are in good standing before the highest court of any State or jurisdiction of the United States. Attorney Members shall have the right to vote and hold office.

Public Interest Attorney Member - Attorney Members who are judges, court clerks or attorneys employed with the public sector, not-for-profit organizations or public interest organization. Public Interest Attorney Members shall have the right to vote and hold office.

Student Member - Persons who are regularly enrolled as candidates for a professional law degree in a law school in the United States and would be otherwise qualified for Attorney Membership if admitted to practice in a State or jurisdiction of the United States. Student Members shall be entitled to vote for the Student Director and can hold officer positions upon approval of the Board of Directors.
